Request for Application for FCIHE Mini-Grant Funding

AVAILABLE Florida Consortium on Inclusive Higher Education

$20,000 Mini-Grants

RFA Document: Mini-Grant Applications are available and open for submission. Click here for the 2016 Mini-Grant RFA  link. This request for application (RFA) serves to support the expansion of existing inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE) programs for students with intellectual disabilities at Florida's institutions of higher education (IHE), and the development of new IPSE programs at Florida's IHEs.

Use of Funds: Funding provided through this mini-grant opportunity may be used to provide individual student supports within the academic, social, and independent living domains or to support developing an infrastructure for new supports for students with intellectual disabilities enrolled in IHEs and may include personnel costs. This funding cannot be used as financial assistance for students, including tuition, books, or institutional fees.

Application Process: order custom essays online is an OPEN application process. While there is no “due date” a limit of $60,000 has been allocated annually, to fund these IPSE projects with a maximum allocation of $20,000 per IHE. Upon submission, applications will receive a blind review and be scored according to the FCIHE Mini-Grant Rubric Link. Grant funding will be distributed on a first-come, first-approved basis.  Please use this link to access the FCIHE Mini-Grant Rubric for reference as you complete your application.

Funding Cycle: Please be aware that the grant FY is 10.1 - 9. 30 and any unused funds must be returned by September 30, for the FY awarded. However, this should not preclude any applicants from applying at any time, as grant awardees may ask for a no-cost extension up to an additional 12 months through an email request (with justifications) to Dr. Kathy Becht.

Reapplication for Funds: Award recipients in the current budget cycle may reapply for the next cycle with appropriate rationale for the need for additional funds.

Please contact Kathleen Becht () with any questions about the mini-grant.
